          Casa Susana

Casa Susana is a 3 bedroom detached house, situated in a quiet relaxing area with stunning views. We have tried to provide everything to make your holiday a "home from home" - a place where you can have as active or as relaxing time as you decide.

Below are pictures of all the main areas of the house, along with descriptions.

LoungeLounge

This room (Which is the single storey part of the house that you can see in the pictures) has a three-seater settee, 3 armchairs, a coffee table, open fireplace,  TV, DVD/Video player (with lots of DVDs and Videos for adults and children), Sky Satellite (full package), and a Playstation2 with games. There are also lots of books suitable for all ages.

Dining RoomDining Room

This has a Dining table, which although is normally set out for 6 people, is extendable to accommodate 8 people, plus a highchair for infants. There is an antique gramophone player - along with old 78 record, also a settee. In the corner is a side table with a Stereo CD/Cassette Player On the wall there is a dartboard cabinet, which has a dartboard, darts, light and scoreboard. A Large Dresser, which contains lots of board games and puzzles; also lots of books, maps and information about the local, and not so local area. In this cabinet there is also a folder with the menus of some of the restaurants we have used, along with English translation of the food.

Front PatioFront Patio

This area is great for just sitting and watching the views whether it be daytime or night time. There is a swing seat for relaxing on. The Utility room is here, with a cane covered area with washing lines and pegs.

BBQ PatioBBQ Patio

This area contains a gas BBQ with BBQ tools, and a Table with 8 chairs.

There is also a fridge freezer in the under cover area to store your BBQ food and drink.

This is another great area to spend the evening, eating, drinking, and generally relaxing with family and/or friends, watching for the shooting stars.

Pool

The Salt Water Pool is approx. 8 x 4 metres with steps leading into it. The depth is approx. 4 foot throughout.

The pool area is fenced off to help stop young children from straying into it.

For everyone's safety, only plastic mugs, plates, dishes and glasses are to be used around the pool. If glass should get into the pool it could cause a serious accident and the pool would have to be drained.

Around the pool there are 4 sun loungers, a patio table with 4 chairs and a sunshade. There is a poolside box seat, which contain lots of swimming aids and fun items, including noodles, floats, inflatables, armbands and swim rings.

We have now put in a corner shade area by the pool, which has proved a big hit with our guests. It is especially good for babies, children and anyone who wants a break from too much hot sun.

There is a summer pool cover, which helps to keep the warmth generated during the day, from cooling down too much overnight.

The pool is closed and a winter pool cover is put on out of season (November - April)

Bathroom

The bathroom is a good size and contains a low level WC, a sink, a bath with shower attachment, and a separate shower cubicle. There is also a hairdryer. There is a full-length mirror outside the bathroom, at the end of the landing, to enable you to ensure you are looking your best when you go out for the evening  :-)

Utility Room

This room is situated outside the house, on the front patio area. It contains a Washing Machine, a Tumble dryer, a sink + tap, an Ironing Board, Infant High chair, vacuum cleaner and mop and bucket.

General Information

The house has fully tiled flooring throughout to keep it cool in the hotter months, with rugs put in place in the winter months to make it warmer.

When looking at the pictures of the house you may think it is two properties as there are two front doors. This is not the case; Casa Susana is a detached property with two entrances. The house is in its own grounds and has parking for 2 or 3 cars.

As a safety issue, especially important with young children, all of the above is within a large fenced-in area. The pool is also fenced off. Outside of the fencing, in front and to the side of the property, is a large area of sloping land with almond trees. This is also our land and you are free to roam and pick the almonds (in season).

At the bottom of our land, down the hill a little, there is a single line railway track. Our guests have never found this to be a problem as there are only about 8 - 10 trains a day that travel along this line, and they travel slowly due to the many bends in the track.  As there are so few trains they are not bothersome, in fact they can be quite a novelty, especially for children, as they can be seen coming from quite a way off.

The main house, driveway, pool & BBQ areas are fully enclosed from the rest of the land, making it a secure environment.

Watching the shepherd cross the land with his dog and flock of sheep is also an interesting experience. He is very friendly and enjoys it if you wave and say "hola" to him - or even attempt a conversation!

This is rural Spain and very little English is spoken, but we have several phrase books and dictionaries in the house to help you. It is the perfect base for a holiday or if you are in the area house hunting. The house is in a peaceful but not isolated area, being on the edge of the village means there is life around.
